Danseklubben for lindy hop, balboa og autentisk jazz
Hey hop new and old members! Don’t forget to sign up for this autumn’s classes! We are offering new beginner courses in both Lindy hop and Balboa! Two quite different, but equally awesome swing dance styles! What are you waiting for? Come join us on the dancefloor now!
We are throwing a crash course in Shim sham this Saturday at 20:00! You don’t wanna miss out on learning the solo jazz routine that so many lindy hoppers all over the world know. The shim sham is also a part of the routine we will perform on Dansens Dag in the spring, so this is a great opportunity to freshen up your steps, even if you might already be familiar with the dance.
Also, we’re of course taking social dance for a night out in town!
Bring your best mood and nicest shoes and come join us at Speilsalen in Kvarteret Saturday night! We promise music for both Lindy hop and Balboa dancers from 21:00-02:00. Anybody else with restless feet are also most welcome!

Due to the “vinterferie” there unfortunately won’t be any classes this week (27-28.2) in Balboa and Lindy! Neither will there be social dance.

We are about to kick off the spring semester with courses starting this week! Here is a little reminder of what courses we will offer and when they start:
BALBOA START — Wednesday 30.1.2019 at 19:00
Balboa 1 (newbeginner) — Asylbarnehagen
LINDY HOP START — Thursday 31.1.2019 at 18:30
Lindy 1 (continuous from autumn) — Asylbarnehagen
Lindy 2 — Danckert Krohn
SOCIALDANCE is the same day after courses at Asylbarnehagen 20:00.
(Lindy 1 dancers can just stay where you are and the rest will drop in!)
Social dance is for everyone, so balboa dancers please come as well!

Dear swing cats,
We are soon ready to kick off a new semester of dancing!
Our venue Asylbarnehagen has been under renovation, which has forced us to postpone the course start a bit. But looking from the bright side, we’ll have a new and improved dance floor soon enough!
Asylbarnehagen has now informed us that we are welcome to dance there again the 20th of September. Stay tuned and we will soon inform you when and where Lindy 1 will start.
The other venue at Danckert Krohn is ours as usual, more info will come soon about Lindy Hop 2 class start.
Lørdag 28. april er det Dansens Dag og Cottontails skal selfølgelig delta. Vi danser på Festplassen kl 14.25. Møt opp ved Grieghallen kl 13.30 for å øve gjennom Shim Sham og planlegge dansingen.
Helgen 4. – 6. mai er det tid for Hop Non Stop, Cottontails’ årlige hyttetur.
